Product Description

TP-Link Omada 10G BASE-T RJ45 SFP+ Module (SM5310-T)

The TP-Link Omada 10G BASE-T RJ45 SFP+ Module (SM5310-T) is a high-speed copper transceiver designed to convert SFP+ ports into 10G RJ45 Ethernet ports. Supporting multi-rate speeds including 10GBASE-T, 5GBASE-T, 2.5GBASE-T, and 1000BASE-T, this module delivers flexible and reliable network connectivity over standard UTP cabling. With support for Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM), hot-pluggable functionality, and a fully metallic enclosure for reduced EMI, the SM5310-T is ideal for enterprise switches, routers, and other networking equipment requiring high-speed copper uplinks.

Product Features

Multi-Rate Ethernet Support

Supports 10GBASE-T, 5GBASE-T, 2.5GBASE-T, and 1000BASE-T, enabling seamless auto-negotiation for various network speeds and backward compatibility with existing infrastructure.

10G Transmission up to 30 Meters

Delivers 10 Gbps data transmission up to 30 meters using Cat6a or higher UTP cables, making it suitable for high-speed short-range connections within data centers and enterprise environments.

Extended Reach for Lower Speeds

Supports transmission up to 100 meters for 1000BASE-T, 2.5GBASE-T, and 5GBASE-T using Cat5e or higher UTP cables.

Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM)

Compliant with SFF-8472 standards, DDM enables real-time monitoring of module temperature and voltage, improving operational visibility and network reliability.

Hot-Pluggable SFP+ Footprint

Designed for hot swapping, the module can be inserted or removed without shutting down the host device, minimizing downtime during upgrades or maintenance.

TX Disable Function Support

Includes TX Disable functionality for enhanced control over network transmission management.

Fully Metallic Enclosure

The robust metallic housing reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI), ensuring stable performance in demanding network environments.

Broad Compatibility

Compliant with SFP+ MSA standards, ensuring interoperability with a wide range of switches, routers, and other SFP+ port-equipped devices.
